Cavani unveiled at PSG for mega £55m

Paris St Germain have finally completed the signing of highly-rated Napoli striker Edinson Cavani for a fee of £55million on a five-year contract.
Cavani had been linked with a host of European clubs this summer, with Manchester City, Chelsea and Real Madrid also rumoured to be interested in the Uruguayan forward.
However, the French champions had stepped up their pursuit in the last week and announced the much-anticipated news on their official website that they had signed their man on Tuesday afternoon.

'The arrival of Edinson Cavani demonstrates the ability of the club to attract the best players in the world,' said PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
'The player seduced by our project is pleased to join an ambitious and eager to take on new challenges team. We are particularly pleased to offer the Parisian public a player of immense talent and one who is coveted everywhere.'
The player immediately turned his sights on success in the Champions League.
'I experienced three fantastic years at Napoli,' Cavani said. 'But I always wanted to try to go to the next level. I've been proposed a great project here at Paris Saint-Germain.
'I never hesitated to come here when I saw the trust the club is giving me. This project is very ambitious, very motivating. They are among the top clubs in the world. They are among the few clubs that can win the Champions League.'

Cavani has been in sparkling form since joining Napoli from their Italian rivals Palermo in July 2010, scoring 104 goals in just 138 appearances for the Partenopei.
He was particularly prolific last season with 29 goals to help the Naples club finish second in Serie A, while his tally helped him win the Capocannoniere, which rewards the league's top scorer.
The 26-year-old is just the latest big-money signing for the free-spending Parisiens, who have recruited Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Marco Verratti, Ezequiel Lavezzi, Lucas Moura, Javier Pastore and Thiago Silva in the last couple of years.

Cavani is expected to form a dream-team strike pairing with Ibrahimovic, who was named Ligue 1 player of the year after bagging 30 goals last season, and it's an exciting prospect for the Uruguayan.
'I imagine it will go very well. Zlatan is a world-class player. For another forward, it's a joy to partner him. I hope we can be a good attacking duo.'
New PSG boss Laurent Blanc will also be hoping Cavani and playmaker Lavezzi can rekindle their impressive partnership from their days at Napoli together.
