Glee Producers Take Two Week Break To Rewrite Cory Monteith's Storyline!

Cory Monteith's death didn't just break the hearts of his friends, family, coworkers, and fans - it also sent Glee producers into a tailspin while they try to figure out how to change the show's upcoming fifth season. Cory's character Finn had a "massive storyline," a source tells In Touch, "and it was going to happen right at the start of the season. Everyone on the show was told they were taking a 2 week hiatus until [the producers] figure out what they want to do."

One thing we do know for sure: the hit Fox show will go on.

"The writers and producers are trying to figure out what to do with Cory's character because they need to rewrite everything now," an insider tells In Touch. Filming had originally been scheduled to begin at the end of July.

In addition to coping with Cory's loss, friends and co-workers are concerned about how his girlfriend and on-screen love interest, Lea Michele, will recover. In Touch reported that the actress is devastated and "in a haze of disbelief."

"They really hope Lea is going to be okay as well," the source tells In Touch. "Everyone thought he was the nicest and most talented guy, and they are heartbroken." Cory's Glee costars, including Jane Lynch, Matthew Morrison, and Dianna Agron have all spoken publicly about how much they'll miss Cory.

Although his body was cremated, a memorial service will be held for Cory in LA. There will also be a candlelight vigil tomorrow night outside of the Fairmont Pacific Rim
Hotel in Vancouver, where Cory died.
