The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug Poster Is Out

For Bilbo Baggins, it looks to be a lonely quest.The first poster for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug—Peter Jackson's highly anticipated second installment in his trilogy of films based on J.R.R. Tolkien's fantasy novel—has just hit the Web. 
The one-sheet debuted Sunday on The Hobbit's Facebook page, and by all appearances, the Halfling played by Martin Freeman has a foreboding mission in store as he arrives at the base of the Lonely Mountain to help his Dwarvish companions recover the treasure guarded by the evil dragon Smaug.

The poster also reveals Bilbo the secret door to the dragon's lair that—as any Tolkien fan will tell you—appears only when the last moon of autumn and the setting sun are in the sky together.
No doubt Bilbo will have his work cut out for him. 
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is set to hit theaters on Dec. 13, 2013, while a teaser trailer for the flick is scheduled to be released tomorrow.So Say YAY if your a geeky Lord Of The Rings fan like me.
